Onsite is a 8 by 4 meter part of a borderline fence. It's metal structure, mesh wire and barbed fence have become rusty after years of exposure to sun and rain. It looks as if it had just recently been cut out of the borderline between the two cities: Shenzhen and Hong Kong. On its edges the cuts through the wires seem fresh and contrast with the time-worn appearance of the whole. A shiny metal plate is fixed to fence reading "Souvenir from Shenzhen" in a typeface resembling that of souvenir postcards.

Behind this object, pasted to the wall is a very large panoramic photograph of the borderline as it winds through the landscape. Very obviously there is one piece missing in the fence.
